Transfer .ca Domain to Another Person
or Legal Entity
From time to time you will need to transfer your domain(s) to someone else. Let DOMAINSunder.ca help you transfer, or sell your domain. In transfering, you are in effect renewing your domain for an additional year, so the transfer itself is actually free.
Stage 1: If the domain recipient does not have a registrant id, or is not listed with us, then create one. (This part is free.)
Stage 2: Read the legal agreement. By paying us you have read, and accepted the legal agreement.
Stage 3: Pay us for the domain transfer. Your new domain(s) will automatically be renewed for one year. The cost is $25.00 CAD + GST / domain (so you are in effect renewing for $25.00 CAD + GST / domain). Give us your registrant id with payment. Payment can be made by:
- certified cheque
- money order
- phone in VISA (9:00 - 17:00 Mountain Time)
- regular cheque. Clearance rules:
- Alberta cheques: one week to clear
- Other Canadian cheques: 10 days to clear
- US and foreign cheques: one month to clear
Stage 4: Start a change of registrant.
Stage 5: Respond to any emails sent to the admin contact for all registrants regarding this issue.
Stage 6: Log on to CIRA with your final CIRA username and password (CIRA emailed this to you after you have confirmed your registrant and/or registration). Once you have logged in then confirm the domain transfer.
